FICS is a non profit charity that relies on funding through Grants, Foundations and Donations.

A volunteer Board of Directors governs FICS and a core group of volunteers work on a daily basis to provide vital information to the residents of Flamborough.

Lynden Canada Day Parade
Canada Day

Annual parade in which all of Lynden takes part. Begins between 11am and Noon. Activities follow the parade. Fireworks at dusk. For information contact Sharon Clugston – 519-647-2415

Bustles and Biscuits, Westfield Heritage Village
Sundays, July through August 2007
Treat yourself to a leisurely summer afternoon at Westfield. Have tea and homemade tea biscuits with jam. Enjoy the fashions of different era, with a mini-fashion show at 2 pm. Licence Free Fishing Weekend
Valens and Christie Lake Conservation Areas

John Burns Memorial Fishing Derby, Valens Conservation Area

Christie Lake Beach Party, Christie Lake Conservation Area

Enjoy a day on the beach at Christie Lake with contests, prizes, hot dogs and much more.  Spend the day with your family featuring fun beach activities and the beautiful surroundings of Christie Lake Conservation Area.  This event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Registration is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Activities include sand sculpting contest, paddle boat races, beach volleyball, frisbee contest and beach music.
