FICS is a non profit charity that relies on funding through Grants, Foundations and Donations.

A volunteer Board of Directors governs FICS and a core group of volunteers work on a daily basis to provide vital information to the residents of Flamborough.

Volunteer Special Events

                               

                              Volunteer Flamborough is in need of Snow Angels to help senior's and adults with a disability have mobility and feel less isolated as well as help them to adhere to the snow removal bylaw the city has in effect.

                           

                              Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton is in need of Adoptive Parents, Foster Parents, and Volunteer Drivers. Drivers ...flexible hours, reimbursed mileage, ongoing commitment, current police check required. Evening Drivers Urgently needed.

                             

                           School Sisters of Notre Dame are looking for volunteers for Monday evenings and weekends to walk with the Sisters and take them to special events within the facility.

                              

                              Visiting Library Service needs volunteers 19 yrs of age or older to deliver library material to local residents who are homebound.This is a once a month obligation during an assigned delivery week. You must be physically capable of lifting and carrying bags of material and have your own transportation.

                            Rescued and Restored  (Freelton Antique Market) needs volunteers in the following areas: 1)  on a weekly basis to sort items, general merchandising, sort books and move furniture to create rooms.

              2) Pick up donations as well as some deliveries ( mileage is provided) a trailer is available if you have a hitch.

               3)   Volunteer Coordinator responsible for recruiting, training etc. call for more information. (All proceeds go to support Drummond House)

                           RED CROSS OF WATERDOWN IS IN NEED OF DRIVERS TO TAKE SENIORS TO DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS.

                        2 VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED                   

SAM PROGRAM is a day program for seniors and adults with diminished abilities and is in need of volunteers on Monday's or Thursday's for an hour or two in the morning or afternoon. Contact Shannon Walker 905-689-5244
