General information about our Walk-In Clinic:
Appointments are not necessary – you drop in and are booked with the next available counselor to discuss what type of support would be most beneficial. The clinic provides all referrals and walk-ins with a solution-oriented counselling session with a professional social work counsellor. We see individuals, couples and families at the Walk-In Clinic.
There is a fee per session, which is based on a sliding scale (based on your income and household composition). The minimum fee is $5.00, but people are not turned away based on inability to pay.
All of our counseling programs are confidential. Clients are asked to read and sign the Professional Disclosure Statement which outlines our confidentiality policy and the instances when our counselors must break confidentiality (i.e. a child is in need of protection, a disclosure that someone is planning to harm themselves or others or a medical emergency).
CFS serves people of all faiths and backgrounds.
