Community Development
Through our callers and work in the community we are in tune with the community's needs. We identify gaps in social services and unmet needs and then report them to the appropriate agencies. When possible, we would then facilitate the services needed to address the gaps.

The YMCA Employment Services Program helps Ontarians find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment * information about all Employment Ontario programs and services * access to Second Career program to provide laid-off workers with skills training for high-demand occupations * information about, and referral to, other community services and supports.
